On 9‑10 September 2026, the 11th Belt and Road Summit was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Summit adopted the theme “Advancing High‑Quality Development, Embarking on a New Journey”. It gathered political and business representatives from more than 70 countries and regions worldwide for multilateral exchanges covering trade and investment, green energy, scientific and technological innovation, cross‑border infrastructure and other topics. Thirty‑two Memoranda of Understanding and multiple industrial cooperation intents were concluded on the first day of the Summit.

Ren Dafeng, Chairperson of Zhonghuijianrun (Chongqing) Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the event. Together with industry peers at home and abroad, she explored development opportunities for the green and low‑carbon industry, actively promoted building‑integrated photovoltaic technologies to the international market, and examined local application scenarios such as building curtain walls in Hong Kong.

Leveraging Hong Kong’s strengths as a “super‑connector” and “world‑class springboard”, the Summit featured a plenary session, policy dialogues, and three thematic tracks on global outreach, finance and youth. Centering on hot topics including energy resources, urban development and emerging‑market cooperation, it built a vital platform for mainland tech enterprises for resource matching and project negotiations.
During the Summit, Chairperson Ren Dafeng took part in the plenary session as well as special seminars on energy and science‑technology innovation. She gained in‑depth insights into market conditions and policy frameworks for new‑energy transition and zero‑carbon city construction across Belt and Road partner countries, while paying close attention to market demands for building renewal and green retrofitting in Hong Kong. The company’s Building‑Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) technology fits diverse local use cases such as Hong Kong building curtain‑wall and facade retrofits, enabling buildings to cut energy consumption and carbon emissions.

At the Summit, Ren Dafeng held business discussions with entrepreneurs and investment institutions from Kazakhstan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, ASEAN and other regions. She showcased the company’s core BIPV technologies and full‑value‑chain services, and explored cross‑border and local project cooperation opportunities focusing on zero‑carbon parks, green infrastructure and building‑curtain‑wall upgrading, accumulating resources for the company’s domestic and international market expansion.

“Green and low‑carbon development represents a key track for high‑quality Belt and Road cooperation. Energy transition and urban upgrading in Belt and Road economies, alongside green renewal of existing buildings in Hong Kong, unlock huge market potential for photovoltaic building solutions,” said Chairperson Ren Dafeng. “Boasting sophisticated financial and legal professional services, Hong Kong serves as an excellent springboard for mainland technology enterprises to go global. Its high‑density high‑rise building curtain walls also create abundant application scenarios for BIPV. Rooted in Chongqing, Zhonghuijianrun focuses on photovoltaic building technologies. Through this international platform, we aim to deliver China‑developed zero‑carbon building solutions and foster win‑win multilateral trade and economic progress via technological innovation.”
This participation marks an important milestone for Zhonghuijianrun to expand its domestic and overseas footprint. Moving forward, the company will seize opportunities brought by Belt and Road cooperation and draw on Hong Kong’s role as a global hub. It will proactively engage partners along the Belt and Road for practical overseas collaboration, while exploring implementation pathways for BIPV in Hong Kong’s building curtain‑wall and urban‑renewal projects. The enterprise will bring Chongqing‑originated green tech solutions to broader markets and contribute to high‑quality Belt and Road development as well as Hong Kong’s green and low‑carbon advancement.
