On August 24, Bian Chunsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Gongliu County Party Committee of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, led a delegation on a 3,000‑kilometre trip to visit Zhonghuijianrun (Chongqing) Technology Co., Ltd. Both sides held in‑depth docking and exchanges focusing on the green and low‑carbon industry. Fan Zhiguo, Director of the Ili Prefecture Investment Promotion Bureau (Chongqing Office), Li Hong, Deputy Director, Sun Huanbo, Office Director, Xu Wangsuo, Director of the Gongliu County Investment Promotion Center, and Wu Liwei, Deputy Director of the County Bureau of Commerce, Industry and Information Technology, joined the inspection, fully demonstrating the high priority attached to this industrial cooperation session.

The delegation paid an on‑site visit to the Zero‑Carbon Cabin · Apple Pod, a low‑carbon benchmark product exhibited at the Western China Investment and Trade Fair. Fitted with cadmium telluride power‑generating glass on its facade, the building works as a miniature power station. Combined with an atmospheric water‑generation and water‑circulation purification system, it achieves “electricity from sunlight and water from electricity”. Under sufficient sunlight, it can operate with nearly zero energy consumption and nearly zero carbon emissions. The mass‑production conversion efficiency of the Company’s cadmium telluride power‑generating glass reaches 22.1%, with a laboratory conversion rate of 33%, placing its technology among the world’s advanced ranks. This month, the enterprise signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Atmospheric Water‑from‑Air Research Institute, forming a complete ecological closed‑loop of “photovoltaic power generation — atmospheric water generation — zero‑carbon operation”. Its energy self‑sufficiency rate can exceed 95%, while water resources are 100% self‑supplied with zero wastewater discharge. The delegation also toured the enterprise’s achievement exhibition hall to learn in detail about its two core business segments: building‑integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and green straw‑wood composite materials.

During the symposium, Ren Dafeng, Chairman of Zhonghuijianrun, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Xiao Qingchi, Deputy General Manager of Operations, presented the enterprise’s core technology system. Made from herbaceous raw materials such as straw, bamboo and reeds, straw‑wood composite materials retain wood‑like machinability (sawing, nailing, planing and riveting) while supporting extrusion and injection moulding, delivering dual carbon reduction and carbon sequestration benefits. Working alongside authoritative research institutions including the China Academy of Building Research, the Company has built full‑chain implementation capabilities covering design, construction, investment‑financing and operation‑maintenance services.

Both sides conducted practical discussions centred on industrial implementation, focusing on application scenarios of zero‑carbon cabins in cultural‑tourism homestays, rural revitalisation and emergency disaster relief, as well as the adaptability of straw‑wood composite materials to Xinjiang’s climatic conditions. Moving forward, both parties will build on outcomes from this meeting to further clarify cooperation priorities and implementation roadmaps.

From the Ili River Valley to the banks of the Jialing River, the two sides have travelled thousands of kilometres to pursue green‑industry collaboration. Upholding its founding mission of “building revenue‑generating buildings for clients”, Zhonghuijianrun’s highly self‑sufficient zero‑carbon cabins and innovative straw‑wood composite materials that “replace timber with herbaceous plants” are fully aligned with China’s “30‑60” Dual‑Carbon Strategy. This visit recognises Zhonghuijianrun’s strength in scientific and technological innovation and marks a new chapter in green‑industry cooperation between Chongqing and Ili. Though mountains and seas lie far apart, both march together toward green development; a zero‑carbon future awaits joint efforts from both sides.
